March<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Guild was invited to exhibit in the Engine House on a Steaming Day. Visitor numbers appeared to have recovered after the problems of recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A large number of children enjoyed our collection of interactive models and there were many interested adults. 6 members were present and filled 7 &nbsp;tables with their models. Pictures, which appear below. were taken by Chris. Harris, Les. Nightingale and the Webmaster. Chris. made a video. It has a Meccano Steam Engine instead of the original M\u00e4rklin one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the right is an enlarged view of a model from the 1930s Steam Engine Manual and a Sanderson Beam Engine. This has a more compact version of Watt\u2019s Parallel Motion than that on the full size one at the other end of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northwestmeccano.co.uk\/wpimages\/wp3e246f46_05_06.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northwestmeccano.co.uk\/wpimages\/wpfa9e7c03_05_06.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northwestmeccano.co.uk\/wpimages\/wp6efa720e_05_06.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northwestmeccano.co.uk\/wpimages\/wpd81a5585_05_06.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Annual General Meeting, 11<\/strong><strong>th<\/strong><strong>. March 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Approximately 20 members attended the meeting and filled about 18 standard tables with a large selection of interesting models. A lunch of steak pie and apple pie &nbsp;was served, one member, wife provided valuable assistance behind the counter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pictures of some of the models appear below. &nbsp;Unfortunately, it was not possible &nbsp;to take &nbsp;good pictures of them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neville Bond brought his Union Pacific Locomotive, &nbsp;the Nightingales several small models. Derrick Murdie brought his Diabolo, the 18211 Racing Car, and a selection of the Eitech\/Meccano combination Imperial War Museum Kits (these have a mixture of parts with either holes at \u00bd\u201d
